Chassis No. SBM11RAA3GW675109

Nearly two decades after the ultimate evolution of the LeMans-winning F1 GTR, the 1997 F1 GTR "Longtail," raced down the Mulsanne straight, McLaren carefully revived the Longtail name in 2015. This moniker was rightly reserved for what the company described as its lightest, most-driver focused, exclusive series-production supercar ever built, the 675LT. Offering more power, less weight, and more precision, McLaren was proud to state that, "nothing has escaped our attention in the quest for perfection both on and off the track."

Utilizing a carbon fiber MonoCell, the 675LT offered an unrivaled combination of lightness and stiffness which, combined with obsessive weight-saving strategies, unlocked a 100 kilogram reduction over the 650S. A redesigned exterior focused on increasing downforce over the standard Super Series model featured striking carbon fiber bodywork, delivering an astonishing 40 percent increase in downforce and great looks as well. The increased downforce provides incredible agility and in conjunction with a faster steering rack and increased spring rate to that found in the McLaren P1, result in not only impressive lap times, but an unrivaled feeling of connection between man and machine. Powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.8-liter V8 paired with a quick-shifting seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, the 675LT weighs under 3,000 pounds, delivering three second 0-60 times. In addition to sublime performance, the McLaren's suspension is also remarkably configurable by offering three driving modes which are capable of reaching both extremes of sport and comfort.

With only 500 675LTs built, McLaren Special Operation (MSO) offered a selection of highly desirable options to enhance both the uncompromising driving experience and unique visual appeal of the 675LT. Finished in Storm Grey, this particular car was outfitted with the highly desirable and track-focused "Clubsport Pro Pack" which comprises such features as lightweight carbon fiber racing seats, track brake upgrade, McLaren Track Telemetry (MTT) with lap time function and three cameras, and more. This options package added a remarkable $24,610 to the car's MSRP, while the optional "Carbon Fiber Exterior Upgrade Pack" added an additional $10,690. In fact, between these features and the optional Meridian Sound System, Parking Sensors and Rear Parking Camera, Carbon Fiber Sill Panel, electric steering column, and even orange seatbelts, the total additional cost amounted to over $49,000!

Certainly, the finished presentation is stunning, from the understated exterior color with stealth-finished wheels to the contrasting Carbon Black upholstery with McLaren Orange upholstery accents and extensive use of carbon fiber throughout. The specification was carried out very tastefully but with a track focus in mind. In fact, at the time of cataloging, the car only displayed about 860 original miles.

As one of just approximately 200 vehicles delivered new to the United States, the 675LT is naturally a rare beast, however the exceedingly rare Clubsport Pro Pack sets this example apart from the rest. The first modern "Longtail" McLaren, the 675LT was produced in a much smaller volume than any of the LT models that would follow. Offered in a very desirable specification with incredibly low mileage at the time of cataloging, this 675LT represents an unprecedented opportunity to acquire one of the most desirable and collectible modern McLarens extant.
