The Maserati GranSport is a more performance-focused version of the 4200 Coupe, featuring upgraded suspension, engine, a quicker shifting transmission and a sportier interior. Key design enhancements include a more aggressive front bumper, side skirts, and a revised rear spoiler, all contributing to improved aerodynamics. It also sits lower than the standard 4200, with stiffer suspension settings, making it more agile on twisty roads. The interior features carbon fibre accents, sport seats, and a sportier steering wheel.

This Maserati Gransport was sold new to the Swedish market, and handed over to its first owner on April 7, 2008, through the Maserati dealership Autoropa in Stockholm. It was delivered in the exquisite specification of a Grigio Nuvolari exterior paired well with its Sand beige Poltrona frau leather interior with touches of carbon fibre. Notably, the car is fitted with a Larini exhaust.

In 2011, the car was acquired by its current owner, a long-serving Vice President of the Swedish Maserati Club. As his position suggests, his dedication to maintaining the car is nothing short of remarkable. Every year during his ownership, the car has been carefully serviced, initially by the delivering dealer and later by Scuderia Blu, once he began bringing the car to his summer residence by Lake Como.
