Beschreibung

This Maserati 3500 GT injezione Vignale Spyder is located in Germany and has Austrian registration. It is a 3500 GT Vignale Spyder of the second Series with fuel injection which produced 15 hp more as the models fitted with Weber carburetors. While the cars of the 1st series had only front disc brakes and drum brakes in the rear the 2nd Series 3500GT were fitted with front and rear drum brakes. The most significant difference is the fact that only the 2nd Series cars were fitted with desirable 5-speed ZF transmission.

Only 242 Vignale 3500GT and GTi Spyder were built in total making it a very desirable rare sight .We believe that our black Vignale Spyder might very well be the very best on the market as it underwent an open check book restoration by the best specialists in the field. The famed restoration shop of Bachelli & Villa in Modena performed a frame-off rotisserie restoration taking the body down to the bare metal. They also dismantled all of the mechanical components completely and rebuilt all of the mechanical components including gearbox and differential prior to reassembly.

The interior was done by nobody less than the very best in the business, by Luppi Tappezzeria in Modena.

Sport Auto in Modena fabricated an aluminum hardtop at a cost of €40,000 alone to the exact measurement and specifications of the factory supplied GfK Hardtops which have rather poor appearance and don't hold up very well.

The engine was completely rebuilt by Maserati expert Franz Autosport in Austria.

The result of this open checkbook restoration which took not less than almost three entire years can only be called to the highest Concourse standards. The restoration has been very well documented. Restoration documents and photographs will be delivered with the car.

This Maserati 3500 GT Injezione Vignale Spyder was shown successfully at Salon Privé in the UK and at the Motorsport Gathering during the Bernina Gran Turismo weekend in St. Moritz, Switzerland.

Sitting on its fresh Borrani wire wheels it is a dream to drive and is admired by all bystanders.

This matching numbers example is presently awaiting Maserati certification.
