The Maserati 3200 GT was styled by Italdesign whose founder and head, Giorgetto Giugiaro, previously designed, amongst others, the Ghibli, Bora and Merak and so certainly had the pedigree behind him. Sold mainly in Europe, the 3200GT shared the twin-turbo 3.2 litre, V8 featured in the Quattroporte and Shamal, revised and tuned to 365BHP. The taillights consisted of LEDs arranged in the shape of a boomerang. The outer layer of the 'boomerang' provided the brake light, with the inner layer providing the directional indicator. Sadly, the U.S. insisted on bulbs and so, as is so often the way, style made way for bureaucracy. Nevertheless, it went on to be a great success until 2007 with the boomerang rear lights being the more desirable.

This particular four owner car, is the rare and highly sought after manual derivative and as such, is the true driving enthusiast's choice. Finished in a classic Maserati colour combination of Silver exterior with Bordeaux leather interior, this car presents very well indeed. Clearly it has been well cared for throughout its life which is supported by a huge history file containing invoices for work carried out by initially Maserati main agents and then by renowned Maserati Specialist Giallo Cars in Tonbridge. The current scrupulous vendor who has owned the car for fourteen years, continued maintenance with Giallo which had been started by the previous keeper, showing his intent to look after the car to the same high standard. Benefitting from the optional Assetto Corsa alloy wheels and fitted with a Tubi exhaust, this car sounds every bit as good as it looks and is sure to delight its next owner. Supplied with its original book pack, two keys, MoT test certificate, large history file and current V5C, this Maserati would be a welcome addition to any stable. Consigned by John Dutton
