In the very first year of production, Locomobile made mainly steam operated cars, but these were not reliable slow and not easy to drive. Although all these problems, they have a really huge success between 1899 and 1902, when Locomobile produced 4000 specimens, sold for 600 dollars mainly to the american middle class families.
The car has a wooden chassis and a little 2 cylinder engine in marvelous condition, totally restored and it is perfectly running.
This particular Runabout won the first price at a Concours d’Elegance in Germany.!
