The Range Rover Evoque is a compact luxury crossover SUV produced by Land Rover, part of Tata’s Jaguar Land Rover group. The Evoque was launched in July 2011 in three and five-door versions, with both two-wheel and four-wheel drive. The Evoque was designed to appeal to urban buyers and meet requirements for lower CO2 emissions and increased fuel economy. The Evoque design, which added a more affordable model to the ‘high-end’ classic Range Rover range, was received very positively by the automotive press for retaining the features, amenities, and off-road capabilities of a traditional Range Rover in a smaller package.

The Evoque was launched with both diesel and petrol variants in four trim levels – Pure, Prestige, Pure Tech and Dynamic. The optional generation IV Haldex permanent four-wheel drive system ensured the Range Rover maintained its position as the most capable off road vehicle in the market. The 2014 model year update saw significant changes to the Evoque including: The introduction of a new 9-speed ZF automatic transmission, new driver assistance and convenience features, Land Rover InControl connected car system and the option of the all new Land Rover Active Driveline on demand four-wheel drive system.
