Beschreibung
"The Land Rover Defender is a vehicle that truly stands out from the crowd. It can trace its roots back as far as the Land Rover Series I, which was released 75 years ago, in 1948. It is known for its capability, ruggedness and its ability to take on any terrain. The Land Rover Defender has been used by farmers, militaries, explorers and adventurers since its inception. It has a unique boxy design, with chunky wheel arches, short overhangs and a raised ground clearance. It is powered by a range of diesel and petrol engines, and is available in a variety of body styles, including a three-door, five-door, and pick-up. It is a vehicle that has been designed to take on any terrain and any challenge, but is just as comfortable being used as a daily driver or summer toy.
Marking the beginning of Land Rover’s transition into the ‘fun and lifestyle’ market, the Defender 90 SV was only produced between 1992 and 1993 with a total production run of 90 vehicles, making these one of the rarest Defender models. With only 37 believed to still be on the road, the vehicle offered here is number 61 of that 90. Unique in that not only is it in very good ordered throughout, with the hood in excellent condition as well as the cloth interior seats, the Caprice Green paintwork and chassis, but also that the paperwork is unrivalled including even its original invoice and bill. The overall appearance is enhanced by the internal/external roll cage and fully operational Hella spot lamps. The vendor reports the vehicle to run and drive extremely well and is only selling due to a lack of space.
Unusually, the paperwork for this vehicle is excellent. Supplied new by Mann Egerton in Colchester to Mr. Malcolm Peter, he kept the car for the next 27 years! With only one former keeper, boasting 13 main dealer stamps, (and more independent specialist stamps), as well as its original handbook, service history book, and original cassette player handbook. This fantastic Defender even comes with an original keyring! Having covered less than 10,000 miles since it had its last cambelt change in 2020, this Defender SV has always been loved and very well cared for.
Supplied with a V5C registration document, a file of receipts, service history book and its original invoice and bill. Having been on display at Jaguar Land Rover’s Sunbury SV department by their request, it should give an idea as to the rarity and condition of this wonderful Land Rover from a pivotal moment in the company’s history.
