With its first registration from the 1st of February 1989 this cult Land Rover Defender was handed over to its first owner through Emil Frey AG in Safenwil on the 9th February of the same year. He only used his rather impressive SUV sparingly and the car was taken over by the last owner in June 1998 with then showing only 27’000 kilometres. He too used his Landy rarely but made sure, as shown in the service booklet and invoices available, that the car was correctly maintained. In July 2020 at 48’000 kilometres a major service was performed which included a new cambelt and a new water pump. In addition the radiator and the injection pump were overhauled and the rear brakes equipped with new brake cylinders and brake shoes. With its robust 86 hp 2.5 litre turbo diesel, the Defender provides a most reliable tool, a roomy expedition vehicle or just charming peace of pure Britishness for a future enthusiast. With 2 owners and only 49‘000 kilometres driven, the Landy is in very good and well maintained or initial condition and the last Veteran MOT was completed in November 2024.
