Beschreibung

Unequivocally among the greatest rally cars of all time, the Lancia Delta won the World Rally Championship no fewer than six times, a feat no other car has equalled before or since. After a series of fatal accidents highlighted the dangers of the legendary and largely unrestricted Group B cars, the FIA replaced it with Group A, which proved to be a much safer formula. Lancia just happened to have a car that was ideally suited to the new rules in their Delta HF 4WD, which began winning immediately. From there, they hastily developed the HF 4WD into the Integrale, creating an icon in the process.

Group A rules required 5,000 roadgoing examples to be built, and enthusiasts were happy to buy them. The Integrale was continuously developed to remain competitive in racing, and these improvements made their way into the road cars as well. 4 valve heads were introduced in 1989, and then two Evoluzione versions followed after that. The definitive version was the Evo II, of which 220 examples were finished in Giallo Ginestra.

This particular "Ginestra" is an outstanding example, being well-documented, fastidiously maintained, and presented in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition. Sold new in Japan, this car was exported to Germany, and eventually the United States. Extensive service records since new substantiate the 57,000 original kilometers (35,200 miles) and also show recent maintenance, including new Michelin tires, front and rear brake pads and rotors, AC recharge, rebuilt alternator, lower engine mount, new Ragazzon exhaust, and much other work. The car runs and drives superbly, with an exceptionally quiet and rattle-free (!) interior. US-registered and ready to enjoy, this is one of the best-driving Integrales we have ever encountered.
