The fourth series presented in 1981 was the last evolution of the Lancia Beta which was offered until 1984. 8’544 examples of the estate/coupé called HPE with a 2 litre engine and fuel injection were built and our example stems from the last production year of this exotic Italian. Probably unsold for some time, the Beta was first finally registered on the 26 March 1986 in the Ticino Canton. After at least three owners, the car was taken over by the vendor towards the end of 2022 and has seen enthusiastic use since. Recently the Lancia received a new set of Spax shock absorbers to the front axle and the brakes were overhauled. With most probably now around 100’000 kilometres driven the HPE presents itself in good original condition with age correct signs of use. Thanks to the successfully passed Veteran MOT in January 2024 this rare Italian may be registered immediately.
