Beschreibung

  • Part of The Piccolo Collection
  • A replica of the famed B20 Corsa Lancia Works racers
  • Based on a 1953 Lancia Aurelia B22 Berlina; accompanied by a Lancia Certificate of Origin
  • Powered by a 1,991-cc V-6 engine fed by triple Weber carburettors
  • Clothed in bespoke glassfibre bodywork

The Lancia Aurelia’s competition potential was recognised almost from the moment the model first broke cover. In 1951, a Works outing at the Giro di Sicilia was followed by a shock 2nd-place finish at the Mille Miglia, lighting the touch paper for an all-out factory assault the following year.

Lancia took immediate steps to increase the performance of the B20 Coupé, replacing its steel bodywork with aluminium; lowering the roofline; and stripping the interior of unnecessary weight. Seven “Corsas” are believed to have been built, all of which were later destroyed.

This smart replica is based on a donor Aurelia B22 Berlina, which was modified with a shortened chassis and prop shaft to meet original Corsa specifications. In addition to myriad other components, the Berlina donated its matching-numbers 1,991-cc twin-cam V-6 engine to the project, which was mated to triple Weber carburettors. The bodywork, meanwhile, was formed of glassfibre. The car was completed in 2016, and subsequently entered in the 2019 Giro di Sicilia.

Offering a comparable driving experience to that of the original B20 Corsa at a fraction of the cost of even a standard production car, this well executed replica could prove the perfect tool for tours and track days.
