ONE OF THE MOST DESIRABLE LAMBORGHINIS
French title
The Murcielago's history began in 2002 when Lamborghini was bought by Audi. It is the first model to be presented since the takeover of the Italian firm. Its iconic design is by Luc Donckerwolke and is directly inspired by stealth fighters and bombers such as the F-117 Nighthawk. The Murcielago, which aims to compete with the Ferrari 575M in the super-sport segment, takes its 'bat' name from a bull famous for having withstood 24 blows from a sword during a bullfight in 1879. A worthy successor to the Diablo, this model uses the same V12 engine, which was upgraded to 6.2L and then 6.5L for the second generation. This second generation, of which we are presenting a beautiful example here, was named LP640, LP for Longitudinal Posteriore (engine position) and 640 for its 640 horsepower. The 6-speed E-Gear robotised gearbox will now be offered as an option. Phase 2 features cosmetic changes, mainly on the front end. The new version has a new front bumper with new air intakes and new headlight lenses. The rear bumper has also been redesigned, with the former double exhaust tailpipe replaced by a single hexagonal tailpipe.
Our example is in beautiful condition with its pearl white paint and black and red leather interior. Our test drive showed that the car has not lost any of its horsepower, far from it, and that the gearbox works normally.
A future collector that will only become more desirable and promises its future owner real extreme driving sensations."
