1983 CJ7 Jeep.

Enjoy this Jeep in very good condition, which the current owner completely overhauled over the years. Almost all parts have been replaced.

The vehicle is originally from France, bought in 2007 with a 2L Renault engine, modified with the installation of a AMC 4L injection engine and a gearbox taken from a 1989 Cherokee.
 
This project was carried out because in the USA, the CJ7 was sold with a 4.2L carburettor engine and as the engine bloc is identical, this modification was possible.
 
The car was completely disassembled to install the engine system, the engine brackets bought in the US, the AX15 gearbox and the DANA300 transfer case, to adapt the front and rear drive shafts, to replace the 3-4 synchro.

Once all was aligned, reassembled, the chassis was blasted, galvanised and repainted in black. 

The suspension system was replaced by:
- 4 new blades.
- 4 Procomp gas absorbers.
- 2 front brackets restored to new condition.
- Rear drum brakes were replaced by disks and calipers with cable handbrakes.
- All stainless steel brake hoses are new.
- The rear and front axles were redone with replacement of all gaskets.
- Large new steering unit, new power steering pump.
- New steering shock absorber.
- 5 new aluminium rims.
- 5 General Grabber 33x12.5x15 tyres.

The body, the fenders and the engine hood have been sandblasted, treated and repainted with white epoxy paint; new front/rear bumpers; the spare wheel support was sandblasted, treated and repainted with epoxy paint; the fender extensions are new; the carpet is new; the bucket style seats are adjustable; the dashboard is new; the instruments are original and functional; new steering wheel; Cherokee steering column; new and functional wipers; new window liquid container with electric pump.
 
The engine was checked and functional before being disassembled. You just need to change the tensioner because the chain makes a slight clicking sound at low engine speed.
 
- 6 new injectors.
- 6 new spark plugs
- Oil was changed less than 1,000 km ago.

Gearbox overhauled back to new condition, all bearings have been changed, the synchronisation of 3rd and 4th as well as the sliding gear are new, the gearbox oil was changed less than 50 km ago.

All was checked, the inspection will be renewed for the sale, currently registered as a vintage car.
