Beschreibung

Transmission: 5 gears, Manual gearbox
Registration number: AL-96-42

Dark blue, beautiful red leather, and of course, all the fantastic technology of an XK150 in a fully restored and overhauled 'coat': this Jaguar undoubtedly manages to convince! As if that's not enough, the XK also has been given several upgrades, most of which are invisible, but some catch the eye, such as the D-type wheels.

The XK150 you see here 'ticks all the boxes,' in other words: this Jaguar is fantastic from A to Z. It starts with the outward appearance of this Drop Head Coupé. While XK150s are almost always equipped with elegant wire wheels, this XK150 stands on distinctive D-type wheels. The louvres on the hood are also a striking detail. The XK150 is also equipped with a Getrag five-speed gearbox, making long-distance driving much more relaxed. Speaking of long distances: the XK150 has slightly more modern seats, which are not only very comfortable but also provide more lateral support when tearing around bends at speed.

Speaking of sporty use: the interior has been enhanced with various items to actively participate in historic rallies, including a tripmaster and other measuring equipment. In addition, some extra buttons and a main power switch are located on the custom center console. To make steering more enjoyable, the classic steering wheel has been modified with a thick leather rim. Everything has been done in such a way that returning to the original is always possible.

The XK comes with a huge stack of invoices from well-known brand specialists, clearly showing one thing: this Jag has always received the care it richly deserved. Invoices for the Getrag gearbox, invoices for the engine overhaul and tuning (over €15,000), and numerous maintenance invoices are present with the car.

Let's examine the bodywork: it impresses with very tight sheet metal and very nice paint finish. The very deep navy blue body has tight seams, excellent lines, and doors, as well as the bonnet and boot lids close beautifully. The abundant chrome is just as beautiful and undoubtably rightly deserves the description as being in concours condition. Inside the Jaguar, is a pleasant environment to be in. The seats, covered in high-quality and supple leather, are in excellent condition. The rest of the interior looks practically new, with a dashboard featuring beautiful wooden panels and partly leather upholstery, complemented by stylish Smiths instruments, flanked by the aforementioned rally instruments. The controls are all in very good condition and fully functional.

The 3.8-liter straight-six has not only been completely overhauled and tuned but has also been extremely well maintained, exclusively by brand specialists with a passion for these types of cars. Due to that maintenance, which naturally went far beyond just the engine, this XK150 drives truly perfectly. Every classic car feels different, and even every same model drives differently. The engine sounds and runs beautifully. The power is noticeably higher than standard; the XK pulls through the revs wonderfully. A fantastically performing six-cylinder! Enjoyable driving, however, goes beyond just the engine, and fortunately, we can add that the chassis is also very good and adapted for rallies, tours, and intensive use without losing sight of comfort. The XK150 still gives the driver the feeling of being in a real sports car. Good brakes also bring the speed down in a timely manner.

On the bridge, the car looks beautiful, with a fine underside without rust, deposits, or other unwanted elements. Truly a car that, as mentioned earlier, is flawless from A to Z.
