Beschreibung
In March 2003 Jaguar introduced, - with the internally called X350 -, the third completely new construction since the first XJ-Series was presented in 1968. Despite its timeless appearance the new XJ offered, besides more space to the interior, some rather innovative updates. For the first time the monocoque construction was made in aluminium and for the first time a diesel engine was available for this well-loved saloon. Petrol engines ranged from three litre V6 with 238 hp all the way to a compressor equipped 4.2 litre V8 delivering 395 hp, resulting in very brisk performance indeed for a large saloon. The example offered is equipped with this top-of-the-line performance package and was handed over to its first owner through Emil Frey AG in Safenwil on the 15th of November 2005. Painted in Jaguar “Racing Green metallic” with a leather interior in Champagne, automatic gearbox, air conditioning and air suspension as well as the optional adaptive cruise control, park distance control, navigation, Bluetooth and premium sound system the new prize stood at a proud 130’576 Swiss francs. Over the following years the noble Brit was enthusiastically used and, as shown in the maintenance receipts provided with all the necessary love and care. For example, in 2013 at 96’000 kilometres, all the belt tensioners and pulleys as well as the radiator and brake discs to the front and rear were replaced. At the end of 2024 the XJR was taken over by the vendor from its first owner and added to his little collection. Due to lack of space he now has to sell his luxury saloon again. With two owners and 117’500 kilometres driven, the Jaguar is in good original condition, showing normal signs of use and, for little money, offers powerful and luxurious transport with the most recent MOT completed in February 2025.
