Walkinshaw was always smart and he wasn't going to let anyone beat his factory driver !
The first practice session was held in damp conditions and Warwick soon set the benchmark time, before coming back into the pits to see if anyone else could get near it. As the track dried out, Armin Hahne went quicker, so Warwick leapt back into his XJR-15. With time for only a single flying lap, he reclaimed pole position in 1 minute 47.8 seconds—a full 1.6 seconds clear of Hahne.

The XJR-15 being offered for sale—chassis 020—would be driven in the Intercontinental Challenge by perhaps the most famous name on the driver roster.
All experts know that the Walkinshaw XJR 15s were faster than the customer cars.
When you only need one qualifying lap to push the second to 1.6 sec. You have an extraordinary car.

Monaco Victory:
The fact that this XJR-15 won the Monaco race gives it a special prestige. The Monaco Grand Prix is one of the most prestigious and demanding races in the world, and a victory there is a remarkable achievement that greatly increases the historical value and desirability of the car.

Having road papers means that this car is legally usable on public roads, which is rare for such high-performance racing cars. This adds a practical dimension to the vehicle’s exceptional performance.

7-Litre Engine: The fact that this XJR-15 is equipped with a 7-litre engine instead of the original 6-litre V12 makes it unique. This modification suggests even greater performance, with increased power and torque, further distinguishing it from its peers.

Tom Walkinshaw Racing: Tom Walkinshaw was a renowned automotive engineer and manager, known for his success in sports car racing. The fact that this car was modified under his supervision to “win by all means” underlines the attention to detail and commitment to maximum performance.

This XJR-15 is not just one of only 53 produced, it is truly unique due to its modifications and history. This makes it extremely valuable to collectors.

In short, this XJR-15 is much more than a rare sports car; it is a piece of automotive history that represents the pinnacle of technology and performance of its era. It is ideal for an enthusiast looking to own not just an XJR-15, but the best and most unique of them all.
