SALES INFORMATION
The story of this beautiful Jaguar E-type Series III V-12 Roadster starts with the first delivery on December 27th. 1974 in Dallas USA. The first owner possessed the beautiful cabrio for no less than 20 years and sells it in 1994 to the second owner from Scotland. According to many invoices and documents, he also made frequent use of it at his other home in France. In 2000 follows the third and Dutch owner and in 2015 the fourth and also Dutch owner. This man is one of our most Jaguar dedicated clients and has several Jaguars in his possession. He asked us to sell the E-type after he had extensively serviced, overhauled en resprayed the car. This was all done in close consultation and largely carried out by a leading Jaguar specialist and private mechanic of the largest Jaguar collection in the Netherlands.

The E-type was due to its dry Texas life in a perfect condition in terms of bodywork, so no rust and also no trace of previous metal repairs! It seems that they are still there: original classics! However, the paint needed a professional refurbishment. Many photographs witness this trajectory with a fantastic end result.

The wheel suspension was also taken care of and the entire engine was extensively checked by the Jaguar specialist. Of course many gaskets, seal rings, belts , oils en filters were changed. Also the carburettors were overhauled. Since this all was carried out the Jaguar drove only a few hundred km. To indicate just how preciously all work has been done: there was recently a new soft top installed by the third owner, but the fourth owner had other terms of quality and he ordered a completly new and handmade softtop at the best specialist in the Netherlands. The softtop has now become perfect with proper fitting and it is made of the best quality mohair.

All work was carried out with only one goal; to pass the E-type in the best possible way to the next enthusiast who can own and enjoy it carefree for many years. We are happy to be able taking care of this because it is not often that an E-type V12 car of this quality comes by. Because when everything from new is fully documented, all owners are known, the car is in an absolute top condition in technique as well as interior and body, and we are talking here about one of the most iconic cars from the British automotive history, then we soon expect a real enthusiast will travel to Rijssen.

VERKOOPINFORMATIE
De levensloop van deze prachtige Jaguar E-type Series III V-12 Roadster begint met de eerste aflevering op 27 december 1974 in Dallas USA. De eerste eigenaar bezit de fraaie cabrio maar liefst 20 jaar en verkoopt hem in 1994 aan de tweede eigenaar uit Scotland. Blijkens veel facturen en documenten is er door hem ook veelvuldig gebruik van gemaakt bij zijn andere woning in Frankrijk. In 2000 volgt de derde en Nederlandse eigenaar en in 2015 de vierde en tevens Nederlandse eigenaar. Deze man is een goede relatie van ons en heeft meerdere Jaguars in zijn bezit. Hij vroeg ons de E-type te verkopen nadat hij eerst zeer uitgebreid de puntjes op de i had gezet. Dit werd in nauw overleg gedaan en grotendeels ook uitgevoerd door een vooraanstaande Jaguar specialist en privé monteur van een van de grootste Jaguar verzamelaars.

De E-type was door zijn afkomst uit de droge USA in een perfecte conditie qua carrosserie, dus geen roest en ook geen enkel spoortje van eerdere plaatwerkreparaties! Ze zijn er dus toch nog, de originele klassiekers! Wel was de lak aan een vakkundige opknapbeurt toe. Vele foto’s getuigen van dit traject met een fantastische eindresultaat.

Ook werd de wielophanging onder handen genomen en is de gehele motor uitgebreid gecontroleerd en waar nodig voorzien van nieuwe pakkingen, keerringen, snaren, filters en oliën. Ook zijn de carburateurs volledig gereviseerd. Achteraf gezien was zo’n uitgebreide motorcontrole misschien overbodig, maar als je zoals de eigenaar dat graag wilde, 100% zekerheid wilt hebben, zul je toch het een en ander los moeten halen en checken. Voor ons als verkopende partij des te fijner omdat we nu met een gerust gevoel de auto kunnen leveren en weten dat het allemaal goed in orde is.

Om even aan te geven hoe precies een en ander is uitgevoerd: er was bijvoorbeeld door de derde eigenaar recentelijk een nieuwe softtop gemonteerd, maar deze viel qua afwerking niet in de smaak bij de vierde eigenaar en hij liet deze door de beste specialist van Nederland weer vervangen. Het dak is nu wel supermooi geworden met prachtige passingen en is gemaakt van de beste kwaliteit mohair.

Alle werk werd uitgevoerd met maar één doel; de E-type weer op de best mogelijke manier aan een volgende liefhebber doorgeven om hem of haar er nog vele jaren onbezorgd van te laten genieten. Wij zijn blij dit te mogen verzorgen want het komt niet vaak voor dat een auto van dit kaliber voorbij komt. Want als alles vanaf nieuw zeer compleet gedocumenteerd is, alle eigenaren bekend zijn, de auto in een absolute topstaat is qua uiterlijk en techniek en we hier spreken over een van de meest iconische auto’s uit de Engelse automobielgeschiedenis, dan kan het niet anders of een echte liefhebber schat dit op waarde en weet de weg naar Rijssen te vinden. Voor de zakelijk aanschaf is het nog zeer interessant te weten dat het een BTW auto betreft.
