*FOR SALE* JAGUAR E-TYPE S3 // US CAR // JUST 14K MILES // EXTENSIVE OVERHAUL BY JAGUAR CLASSIC

EQUIPMENT
Power Steering, AC, Jaguar Classic Infotainment system, Top tint windscreen, Chrome wire wheels, 12V Socket, Front bumper guard, Dash clock, Map lights, Adjustable steering column, Manual dial illumination, Arm rest, Ash tray

EXTERIOR
The fabulous E-Type continues to endure as a design master piece and although the purity of performance has been somewhat diluted for practicality and safety purposes over the years, the style and presence is unmistakable.

Presented in it’s factory designated finish of Old English White, there is excellent depth and even shine to the original paintwork drawing the eye from the sweeping long nose to the sumptuous rear end.

The bright paint work is in fantastic condition whilst the chromed areas such as the door handles, rear screen surround and door caps present very well with a superb fit and finish.

INTERIOR
The charming Red leather works beautifully in contrast to the classic old English White exterior and has survived well – largely down to the dry climate of the US alongside its recent Jaguar Heritage overhaul. As such the seats display with a light patina belying the cars use, maintaining exemplary shape and integrity without any sagging or fraying of the stitching. Door cards are in top condition and sill carpentry presents as new having been replaced. Instrumentation and switch gear is clear, easy to read and works as it should. Power steering is also present on the vehicle which was a factory option on the Series 3 cars making for an easier drive around town.

The cabin is elegantly finished with the distinguished wood rimmed wheel that exhibits an un-spoilt lacquer free from unsightly marks or stains.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The 5.3 litre 12 cylinder engine pulls like a train, with strong oil pressure both at cold idle and at speed. The recent mechanical overhaul courtesy of JLC Ltd – Jaguar’s original stand-alone Approved Service Centre – shows pristine presentation alongside strong, reliable performance.

The sense of occasion on test is palpable, with a smooth partnership between gearbox and clutch the car is a joy on the open road.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
What better way to compliment the classic Roadster shape than a set of 15 x 6 inch 72 spoke wires. These as new vintage wheels were provided with all new rubber, now sitting on period Dunlop Sports to ensure authentic ride and feel.

The braking system has had a significant overhaul to ensure performance is a match for the engine, pulling up quickly and smoothly in a straight line.

HISTORY FILE
Originally ordered in 1971 via Henlys of London, as confirmed by the Jaguar Heritage Archive, ADU 935K was built for personal export delivery bound for the West Coast of America in early 1972. This original Old English White over Red leather car has led a pampered existence free of corrosion or cosmetic anomalies that can so often affect vehicles in Europe.

Although there is limited paperwork from the car’s life in the US, there is a glowing insurance appraisal that confirms the fantastic original condition and ‘show’ grade presentation prior to export back to the UK in 2017. Upon repatriation both the E Type Club have confirmed provenance and latterly marque specialists E Type UK have carried out works as illustrated by an exhaustive inspection sheet in the Summer of 2020. Further to this and over a 2 year period, JLC Ltd had been instructed to go through the car with a fine tooth comb; anything that could be saved was restored and anything that needed replacing was dealt with. This open cheque book exercise totalled more than £35k and assures that this Series 3 is simply one of the best available with preserved original paintwork and Jaguar’s mechanical expertise.

With one private UK owner, a current V5 and 12 months MOT certification offered for peace of mind this V12 is fully prepared and ready for the next lucky custodian.
