Beschreibung
This particular car is a well-preserved example of the iconic E-Type roadster, known for its timeless design. Enzo Ferrari described it as the most beautiful car he had ever laid his eyes on. This model is part of the Series 2 lineup, introduced in 1968, and boasts a beautiful Signal Red finish. With only 49,715 miles on the odometer, it remains a relatively low-mileage gem.
Under the bonnet, the car houses a powerful 4.2-litre naturally aspirated inline-six engine, capable of delivering around 268 horsepower. This engine, paired with a four-speed manual transmission, sends its power to the rear wheels, offering an exhilarating driving experience.
The Series 2 E-Type introduced several cosmetic changes from its predecessor to meet U.S. safety regulations. Notable modifications include an enlarged front grille for better cooling, a wrap-around rear bumper, and repositioned front indicator and tail lights.
This E-Type stands out with its black soft-top roof and a black leather-trimmed cabin, accented by a classic wood-rimmed steering wheel. It rides on polished wire wheels with Jaguar-branded hub nuts, maintaining the authentic and luxurious feel that the E-Type is known for.
It was last serviced in January 2020 by the Malta Classic Car Museum at 49,020 miles, where the engine oil and oil filter were changed, and a silicone-based brake fluid was added. Prior to that, similar maintenance was carried out in 2017.
