Beschreibung
Rare dealer fitted electric sunroof.
Magnificently repainted three years ago.
Believed only three owners.
This pristine Holden Torana SL/R 5000 A9X sedan is finished in the fantastic period-1970s colours of Panama Green with contrasting high-gloss black and was repainted three years ago to a much better standard than GMH could do in the 1970s. One of the 307 A9X sedans produced this vehicle was originally delivered to Western Australia, the current owner sourced the vehicle in 2005 from what is believed to have been its second owner in WA. The odometer records just 120,844 kilometres which is believed to be accurate at time of cataloguing. The body and tag stampings appear unaltered. The vehicle was subject to a substantial restoration between 2018 and 2020 which gave it a new lease of life in its brilliant Panama colour, The engine bay, boot and underbody are all in extraordinarily good condition. The only slight on the beautiful paint job is that it does not have the factory overspray. The original rear spoiler and guards are fitted (albeit the flare bolts have been replaced with gloss black bolts). In pursuit of a period correct vehicle the vendor sourced original glass in good condition, a replacement front spoiler was also sourced.
Mechanically the vehicle has its original correct differential while the restoration resulted in a stainless steel exhaust system being fitted. This Torana is equipped with its correct M21 4-Speed gearbox and 3:08 final drive ratio. The engine bay has had extra thermo fans fitted to cope with the heat better and most ancillaries have been replaced with aftermarket or new old stock componentry. Inside the interior is very well presented in its slate colours however during the restoration reproduction door cards and carpet were used, while the steering wheel wasn’t replaced and is showing wear consistent with a non replaced item.
The boot has the original spare wheel fitted with a period but not original tyre, while the wheels on the vehicle are fitted with modern rubber. There is a (rare) dealer fitted electric sunroof. You can only imagine how this vehicle would have stopped traffic in its vibrant colour when it was brand now, now available for its next custodian the vehicle has been lovingly cared for nearly 20 years and presents ready to use. It still has the original sales booklet and a spare A9X rim is supplied. A brilliant example that comes unregistered, and inspections are welcome.
This vehicle is currently registered on Full QLD registration however will be sold unregistered.
