Beschreibung

As if a Lotus Cortina in any guise isn’t special enough already, being a 1965, this is a rare and desirable “A-Frame” model. The car was recently authenticated by Andy Morrell of the Cortina Lotus Register and verified as being a genuine, original car and not a re-shell, as can often be the case with Mk1 Lotus Cortinas.

In recent years, the car has been cared for by a fastidious Lotus Cortina collector and been cherished. Prior to their ownership, this Cortina was with the same owner for 25 years.

Testament to the car’s current condition, it is accompanied by a sizeable history file. In this, a full engine rebuild in 2010 is documented. As part of this rebuild, the engine was fitted with QED Q360 cam shafts.

Today, the car is presented very well throughout. It is a perfect example for an enthusiast or collector looking for a car to just get in and use. It drives fantastically and will be sure to bring a child-like grin every drive to whoever is lucky enough to be the next custodian.

As with all of our vehicles, we have a digital folder available on request containing more images, walkaround videos, pictures of the underside and scans of the service history. The car can be viewed by appointment at our West London showroom.
