Beschreibung

In the realm of high-end supercars, personalization has reached unprecedented heights. Today's buyers are presented with an unlimited palette of bespoke options, allowing them to craft vehicles that are truly one-of-a-kind. This somewhat recent trend has led to a phenomenon where highly customized examples from luxury manufacturers often command prices approaching double their original MSRP. While such extravagant personalization is now commonplace, it was far less prevalent in the 1990s and early 2000s. During this period, Ferrari emerged as a pioneer in the world of automotive customization with the introduction of their Carrozzeria Scaglietti Program – later becoming the Tailor Made Program – setting a new standard for bespoke luxury that would come to define the modern supercar market.

Exemplifying the Carrozzeria Scaglietti Program's extraordinary capabilities, this 2007 Ferrari F430 Spider stands as one of the most lavishly specified examples of the model ever produced. Finished in wonderful Giallo Fly (Yellow) over Cuoio Naturale (Natural Leather), the extensive use of crocodile leather trimming seats, rollbars, door panels, center console, instrument binnacle, steering wheel, and sun visors added a staggering $154,798 to the base price alone. This exquisite cabin also bears a plaque on the rear wall in- between the seats dedicating the special interior by Schedoni to its original owner, Mr. Tom Peck. Complementing its one-of-a-kind interior, this F430 Spider boasts 13 additional bespoke options exceeding $52,000. Notable features include a carbon ceramic braking system with matching yellow brake calipers, a carbon fiber engine compartment kit, extensive interior carbon fiber trim, power-adjustable Daytona-style seats, Scuderia Ferrari fender shields, and more. With a final sticker price of $419,534 – more than double its base cost – this F430 Spider represents the pinnacle of Ferrari personalization from its era.

Elevating its already outstanding specification, this F430 Spider is equipped with the highly coveted six-speed gated manual transmission. As one of a mere 200 U.S.-market examples so equipped, this Ferrari represents not only a rare iteration of the F430 Spider, but also one of the final modern Maranello offerings to deliver the pure, analog driving experience that only a manual transmission can provide. The Spider was delivered to Mr. Peck on 24 February 2007 via Ferrari of Newport Beach showing approximately 45 delivery miles, beginning a life of time-capsule-like preservation in the stewardship of a handful of careful owners. Peck retained the car until 2009, traveling approximately 285 miles and having maintenance performed at the selling dealer including an annual service, addressing a hydraulic hose recall (recall no. 49), gearbox mount bushing replacement (campaign no. 280), and installing a tailpipe reinforcement bracket (campaign no. 291). Under new ownership in 2013, the Spider returned to Ferrari of Newport Beach with 318 miles for further warranty work which included another annual service, replacing the battery, and applying paint protection film. Finally, in 2015 at 330 miles, invoices on file show that the Ferrari received another annual service and battery replacement, ensuring its mechanical health given its modest use.

More recently, in July 2024, the car received an annual service and comprehensive inspection at Ferrari Beverly Hills which included all new fluids and filters. Unused since this service, the car now shows a mere 480 miles since new at the time of cataloging. This extraordinary F430 Spider embodies the zenith of mid-2000s Ferrari customization, combining the bespoke luxury of the Carrozzeria Scaglietti Program with the engaging purity of a manual transmission. This Spider's preservation is nothing short of remarkable, having been meticulously maintained despite its limited use. Its analog driving experience, ultra-low mileage, and unparalleled specification make it a truly unrepeatable opportunity. Indeed, it is quite likely the most highly specified and best-preserved F430 Spider extant, offering a level of originality and bespoke detailing that are unrivaled in today's market.
