Beschreibung
"The Ferrari F355 was first presented to the motoring press in May 1994 with two models available: the coupé Berlinetta and the Targa top GTS. The Spider became available in 1995 whilst in 1997 the Formula 1-style paddle gear shift was introduced which added a further £6,000 to the dealer list price. Apart from the displacement increase from 3.4 to 3.5 litres, the major difference between the V8 engine in the 348 and F355 is the introduction of a five-valve cylinder head. This new head design allowed for better intake permeability and resulted in an engine that was considerably more powerful, in fact the F355’s best time around Ferrari’s Fiorano test track was three seconds faster than the formidable Ferrari 512TR. The F355 was the last in the series of mid-engined Ferraris with the Flying Buttress rear window, a lineage going back to the 1965 Dino 206GT. Total production of 11,273 cars, of which 3,843 spider’s were built, making the F355 the most-produced Ferrari at the time.
This lefthand drive, 1999 Ferrari F355 F1 spider, fitted with the six-speed automated manual gearbox was supplied to its first owner by Cavallino Classicino of Scottsdale, Arizona, the second owner purchased the car taking it to his home in Florida. Imported to the UK in May 2018 with 29,800 miles on the odometer, showing that the car has covered less than 1,000 miles in this country. The car has recently had the cambelt replaced. Finished in classic colour combination of Rosso Corsa, with tan, piped in red, leather interior, black hood and tan hood cover, this F355 F1 is supplied with a V5 registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in January 2021, a complete handbook pack and a file of invoices. The car also comes with the toolkit bag and is fitted with original prancing horse wing shields and red brake calipers. This is a good example of one of the most popular Ferrari’s built.
