Beschreibung
The 550 Maranello and 575 M, produced from 1996 to 2006, represented a return to form for Ferrari. These Pininfarina-designed GTs were the first front-engine, two-seat V-12 models built since the Daytona ceased production in 1973. In the spirit of their predecessor, these models were also offered in limited-production, open-air form with the 550 Barchetta and 575 Superamerica. Built to celebrate Ferrari’s collaboration with Pininfarina, the 199-mph Superamerica – named after the coachbuilt cars of the 1950s – is distinguished by its patented Revocromico retractable glass roof. In all, just 559 were built, of which approximately 180 were allocated for the US market.
Delivered new to Ferrari of Orange County, and carrying an original sticker price of $339,369, this particular 575 Superamerica was custom ordered by a Nevada-based Ferrari collector in the rare and elegant color combination of Grigio Silverstone (Silverstone Grey) over Natural leather. It was also equipped with the highly sought-after Handling GTC package, a $20,000-plus option that includes carbon ceramic Brembo brakes, track-tuned suspension, low-restriction exhaust, and modular 19" wheels. Other desirable features include Daytona-style seats, yellow tachometer, F1 transmission, and Becker CD changer.
This limited-production Ferrari supercar has benefited from the care of just four meticulous owners and covered less than 4,800 miles from new. A file of service records attests to regular care and maintenance carried out by authorized Ferrari dealers and specialists such as GTO Engineering in Los Angeles, where it was serviced as recently as July 2020.
Presented today in pristine condition, this Ferrari is offered with its factory books, tools, and car cover, as well as its original window sticker and service records. This is an outstanding 575 Superamerica, fit for the collector who demands only the very best.
