Gated Shifter Three Pedal 575

Fantastic US Model Ferrari 575 Maranello in a stunning color combination and fitted with the highly desirable 6-speed gated stick shift. This Grigio Titanio 575 has a black interior and a great list of options. It comes with it's original books and tools, a full service history from new and a clean Carfax report. One of just an estimated 246 575M manual transmission cars produced for the entire world and one of as few as just 84 produced for the American market.

This Car’s Past

Although it is easily identifiable as a US Model 575, this car was a USA Spec car, ordered from the factory with European delivery. A well-known option available to American BMW and Mercedes buyers, but maybe not so commonly known with Ferraris. The first owner Kent Nagano was an orchestra conductor who was living in Paris in 2003, when he was offered the position of Music Director for the Los Angeles Opera. He bought this 575 to celebrate and with knowledge that he would shortly be leaving Europe, he ordered a USA spec car thru Charles Pozzi Ferrari France with intentions of bringing to the US. He took delivery in Paris on 10/14/03. The 575 was shipped to USA, and registered in CA with 97 miles on in early 2004. It appears that he sold the car to another California owner in 2007 with 3,770 miles. The car changed hands a year later with 5,130 miles and went to New York State, where it would remain until purchased by the current owner in 2015. Importantly, this 575 Maranello received a belt service in March of 2013 with 24,700 miles and a fluid service in August of last year with 27,000 miles. The odometer currently displays 27,705.

History of The Model

The 2002 launch of the 575M Maranello signaled a whole new level of achievement for one of Ferrari’s most traditional layouts – the V12 front-engined rear-wheel drive berlinetta.
The new V12 grand tourer was designed to be sportier and more functional than it's 550 predecessor. In keeping with its boosted performance, there was also a focus on more efficient driver control. All of the instrumentation was clustered in a single pod directly in front of the driver with the rev counter at the centre. The car also had newly designed steering wheel, door panels, power seats, dashboard and central tunnel.
The “575” indicated the fact that its effective displacement had been boosted from 5500 to 5750 cc which resulted in a subsequent increase in power and torque, long the marque’s main development goals. In line with traditional Ferrari terminology, the M stood for “modified,” meaning that all round performance had been boosted.

Market Trend

Prices for 575 Maranellos have exploded over the past twenty-four months, with the 6 speed stick shift models being the most desirable and fastest appreciating. A similar 575 with just 8,000 miles sold at Mecum's Monterey auction just seven months ago for $423,000 and a 4.500 mile stick shift example sold at RM's 2016 Amelia Island auction for $462,000.

Summary

This is one of the classic Ferraris which has everything; stunning looks, great drivability, just the right options and that all important uber-desirable gated shifter. The colors are one of the best combinations for this model and the history is well documented. Within an estimated total production of 2,056 worldwide and considering that for that world market only 246 were fitted with the gated manual transmission, it's easy to see why these ultra-rare 6-speed V12 Ferraris are experiencing a resurgence in appreciation and huge upswing in value.
