Beschreibung
To Be OFFERED AT AUCTION WITHOUT RESERVE at RM Sothebys' Paris event, 4 - 5 February 2025.
- Powered by a 345 horsepower, fuel-injected 4.9-litre V-12 engine, sending power to the rear wheels via the sought-after five-speed manual gearbox
- Retains its matching-numbers engine
- Specified in an attractive Grigio Ferrari hue over a rare Crema cloth-trimmed cabin
- Sold new to Pininfarina as a direct sale from the factory; stayed in its native Italy until 2015, when it joined The Curated Collection
- Offered with its Ferrari books and Warranty Card, which record the car’s first owner as Industrie Pininfarina SpA
Comparable to the earlier 400i to the untrained eye, the Ferrari 412 boasted several significant changes, including a higher boot-line creating more boot space, a deeper front air dam for improved aerodynamics, redesigned sill panels, body-coloured inserts, and a new wheel design, behind which standard Bosch ABS was nestled—a first for the marque.
Up front, the V-12 engine increased in displacement to 4,942 cc, allowing it to produce 345 horsepower, meaning 0-100 km/h could be dispatched in a whisker under seven seconds, and it would reach an impressive 241 km/h flat out. Impressive figures for a grand tourer.
This example is finished in Grigio Ferrari, over a Crema cloth interior with Crema carpets and Crema hide on the door cards, accented by Nero hide on the dashboard, centre console, and the Momo steering wheel. Equipped with the desirable five-speed manual gearbox, additional features include air conditioning, electrically adjustable seats, electric windows, a heated rear screen, and a Blaupunkt New York radio cassette player.
Originally delivered to Turin in July 1985, the Ferrari’s first owner is noted as Industrie Pininfarina SpA. Owned in Italy until 2015, it is now offered as part of the The Curated Collection. Accompanied by a full-size spare wheel, tool kit, registration documents, owner’s manuals and service booklet, it would make a fine addition to any marque collection.
