As per the records of historians Marcel Massini and Marc Rabineau, this example of Ferrari’s perennially underrated stablemate to the 365 GTB/4 Daytona was completed by the factory in October 1971.This 365 GTC/4 was delivered new via official Ferrari importer, Charles Pozzi SA of Paris, finished in the light shade of Azzurro Hyperion.

Sold new to the first owner in November 1971, this Ferrari was purchased the following year by French journalist and TV producer, Jacques Martin. He retained the car for three years, and by 1985, chassis 14493 was acquired by its fifth owner, Jean Eguregguy. Sadly stolen four months after his purchase, the car was recovered in 1990 having remained hidden for five years. Eguregguy parted ways with the GTC/4 following a front-end collision on the motorway, and in 1992 the car was acquired by Jacques Marcotty, who painstakingly repaired it, while refinishing the body in dark blue.

Completed in 1997, chassis 14493 was displayed during Ferrari’s 50th anniversary celebrations in 1997 before appearing at events at the Nürburgring and Spa-Francorchamps. Purchased at auction, the 365 GTC/4 then joined The Curated Collection in May 2014. Shortly after, invoices (available to view on file) from Carrosserie Janssens, based near Brussels, record that €22,990 was spent on bodywork.

Notably retaining its matching-numbers engine and gearbox, this Ferrari would make the perfect long-distance tourer for any marque collector.
