Beschreibung
This Ferrari was originally delivered new in Italy in 1962 as a Ferrari 250GTE.
It was then bought by a prominent Ferrari collector who was also an official dealer for Ferrari at the time.
The exquisite lines of this beautiful all aluminium body were commissioned in the eighties and completed by the renowned Ferrari coach-builder Mario Allegretti of Modena; a man renowned for coach-built Ferrari cars.
He completed the craftsmanship to the highest of standards and built to the exact specification of an original California Spider. The paintwork was completed by Egidio Bonfatti of Modena and the trim was executed by Fratelli Luppi, both Ferrari Specialists. Simply put if you put this car next to an original it is extremely difficult to tell which is which. It is a nut and bolt copy of an original which was used as a reference for the build of this car.
The car sits on correct chrome Borrani wheels & has a full set of Period Veglia instrumentation as per an original.
The exterior Ferrari red paint is flawless as is the tan interior. The car is located near Pisa where it may be viewed by appointment. We have photographed and driven this car and can attest to its excellence & attention to period details. The Veglia Speedometer is showing a mere 4700 KMs since build. It has been sparingly used on high days and holidays by the current elderly owner who commissioned the car.
