There is comprehensive documentation on file including all the early Ferrari sales invoices and some great correspondence from the second owner Chris Hutton who used the Dino as his daily transport to get to work. After this time the car - which has always been cherished, enjoyed a succession of owners who used the Dino for less arduous duties.
In 1994, under Peter Lloyd's instruction, Maranello Sales acquired the car and restored it with the sole objective of delivering a concours winning Dino. Unusually Maranello agreed to undertake the restoration to a fixed price - which Mr Lloyd remarks in the history file was not a financially advantageous arrangement for them with the work involved! The colour chosen in the restoration was Giallo Fly and the car duly delivered on it's restoration brief by triumphing in the 1996 Ferrari Owners Club Concours held at Cokesbrook Hall.
Subsequently via Graham Cook of Bramley, the car ended up with noted Ferrari collector Andrew Pisker who had the gearbox rebuilt and the car ultimately ended up with the latest owner Tony Collins. Tony used the car sparingly and has gone to great lengths to reserch and build up the impressive history file which comes with the car today.
A superb example of a Ferrari UK restored car with superb history - ready for show or event use.
