Beschreibung
The Datsun B110, commonly known as the Datsun 1200, is the second generation of the ‘Sunny’ lineage and is today one of the most iconic classics in Portugal, where it was produced from 1971 to 1973 – in the Movauto workshops.
The chassis was virtuoso for its time, with McPherson type front suspension and very low weight, the 1200 quickly became the 'racehorse' for eager young people, both on the tracks and in rallies.
The KB110 Coupe variant is, without a doubt, rarer and more beloved, especially in the GX – Grand Luxury Twin Carb – version, which, as the name suggests, had two SU carburetors fitted to the 1171cc engine. The 83 hp extracted from the little A12 were enough to make the Coupe GX a real ‘pocket rocket’!
The GX trim level, with more equipment and power, was only offered in Japan and South Africa, meaning the steering wheel was always mounted on the right side.
This 1973 GX Coupe arrived from South Africa in 1982 and is ready for some great fun. It has recently undergone extensive mechanical work and has undergone some modifications that maximize driving pleasure and its aesthetic appeal.
The Watanabe wheels, measuring 13x6.5, are fitted with Toyo R888R tires, behind which are hidden new discs and pads, with steel braided brake lines. The suspension also underwent improvements, with KYB shock absorbers and lowering springs that gave the little Datsun phenomenal cornering behavior and a ‘race car’ stance.
The engine has been completely overhauled and also has updated electronic distribution and ignition coil, new fuel and water lines, among others. Includes maintenance history and photographic record of restoration and maintenance.
