Having appeared at the Motor Show in 1970, the Citroën GS is already facing well-established competition in the mid-range sedan segment. But it was only 9 years later that it changed its name to GSA, forgetting the chrome and leaving room for the fashion of the all-plastic. Aesthetically it stands out from its predecessor by a few external details but also by a remodelled interior and the appearance of digital counters that propel it into a new and resolutely more modern era. The GS/GSA will be the third best-selling Citroën after the 2CV and AX, totalling some 2.5 million units in fifteen years of production.
The car we present is a GSA Special station wagon, sold new on 14/10/1982 by the garage Palace in Vichy for 45 330 Frs. This station wagon is accompanied by its user manual, purchase invoice and maintenance logbook. This one shows regular maintenance until 1997 when its meter was 68,977 km long. This vehicle had only two owners when its current owner acquired it in 2011 when it was 76,000 km long. Credited today with just under 84,000 km, which is most certainly its original mileage. The car is in very good general condition, its paint has a nice shine and its bumpers are well preserved. Inside the dashboard is very well preserved and its colours have kept a nice appearance, only the front seats have some defects. Mechanically the car works very well, a summary table shows a regular maintenance since 2011. We were completely satisfied with his test drive. This original car is therefore a great opportunity to enjoy yourself for a reasonable amount of money.
