1967 Chevrolet Corvette 427/435
1967 CORVETTE STINGRAY 427/435 (427 cubic inch & 435 horsepower) L71 COUPE – FRAME-OFF RESTORED AND FULLY DOCUMENTED, IN THE ICONIC "GOODWOOD GREEN" - NCRS TOP FLIGHT AWARD VEHICLE & ORIGINAL TANK STICKER INCLUDED
THE CAR
This 1967 Corvette Stingray L71 coupe is a meticulously restored and fully documented classic, considered by many to be the best year ever for the Corvette. This extremely rare example is accompanied by both the original tank sticker and "Protect-o-Plate", a rarity in itself. This car has won the prestigious NCRS Topflight Award, reflecting its exceptional condition and historical significance. The 1967 Corvette Stingray was the last of the second generation, with five years of refinements making it the pinnacle of Corvette performance and design. The 427/435HP L71 Sting Ray is the high-water mark of Corvette performance for the C2 series.
THE EXTERIOR
The exterior of this Corvette is finished in its factory-delivered Goodwood Green, capturing the essence of 1960s American sports car design. Modest changes for the 1967 model included five smaller front fender vents replacing the three larger ones, and flat-finish rockers that provided a lower profile. The car's paint and chrome accents have been meticulously restored to factory specifications, ensuring it looks as striking today as it did over fifty years ago.
THE ENGINE
Under the hood lies the heart of this iconic car – the original, numbers-matching 427/435HP engine, which features the factory-standard Holley triple two-barrel carburetor arrangement known as Tri-Power. This rare L71 engine package cost the original buyer an additional $437.10 and is complemented by the numbers-matching 4-speed close-ratio manual transmission. This Corvette was produced on September 3, 1967, at the St. Louis Assembly Plant and was ordered with several high-performance options, including a Positraction rear end, Transistor ignition, Special Heavy Duty Suspension, and an offroad exhaust.
THE INTERIOR
Step inside, and you’ll find a cabin that takes you back to the golden age of American muscle cars. The interior has been restored to its original condition, with high-quality materials and attention to detail. The car features a classic black finish, with original components and modern touches for added comfort and functionality. The push-button AM/FM radio and other factory options enhance the driving experience.
This 1967 Corvette Stingray L71 coupe represents a unique opportunity to own a piece of automotive history. Its combination of the optional L71 powerhouse engine, a 4-speed close-ratio transmission, and a complete and comprehensive restoration, coupled with verified factory original documentation, makes this an extremely rare and collectible example.
AWARDS & DOCUMENTATION
Part of this Corvette's high value stands in its comprehensive documentation and awards. No words are needed when it comes to the NCRS (National Corvette Restorers Society) Top Flight Award, back in 2002. This denotes the outstanding quality and originality of this timeless classic vehicle. The certificate, ribbon and NCRS scoring summary sheets, in original, are included.
Moreover, the ORIGINAL build sheet (or tank sticker, correctly, as for Corvettes, the factory build sheets could be found between the fuel tank and the bottom of the vehicle), as well as a certified copy are included. The sheet is 90% complete, but the information is readable and it is an extremely valuable piece of documentation that further proves the value of this Corvette 427/435.
Further documentation includes a fully documented restoration folder, the original Corvette "Protect-O-Plate", specifications brochure, owner's manual, warranty information booklet, AM-FM Radio operating instructions, and a second folder with numerous invoices showcasing the work performed on the vehicle in the past.
Photographs of all these files are included, feel free to ask us for details or more pictures. We are happy to provide them.
