Nothing stunned the automotive world more than the 1959 Cadillac range. Regardless of its extravagant styling, as controversial today as it was then, the '59 range marked the introduction of a new 390 ci (6.4-liter) V8 engine developing 325 hp.
Now widely recognized as one of Cadillac's finest, this new engine was almost completely eclipsed by the bodywork it powered; with its pillarless profile, huge rear spoilers, gleaming chrome, color-matched interiors and "jukebox" dashboards, the '59 Cadillacs are unrivalled icons of a bygone era and among the most prized of all post-war American automobiles.

In 2003, the car was imported to the UK by an enthusiast of the brand.
In 2016, it changed hands again, again in England.
In 2021, it was acquired by its current owner. He then undertook a complete mechanical overhaul. A file of over 15,000 euros worth of invoices will be provided to the future purchaser.
