Vom kommenden mega Erfolg der BMW M3-Baureihe konnte bei der Präsentation auf der IAA 1985 in Frankfurt noch niemand ahnen.

Der Bau dieser sportlichen Serie diente in erster Linie der Homologation für die DTM. Der erste Serien M3 wurde von der M-GmbH in 1986 gebaut und ausgeliefert.

Dieses „M-Cabriolet“ wurde am 17. April 1990 im Werk Regensburg fertiggestellt und am 29. Mai 1990 an die damalige BMW-Vertretung „Automobils Pyrenees“ in Sant Juliá de Loria ausgeliefert.

Bestellt wurde dieses Fahrzeug in der Farbe „Brilliant-Rot“ mit dem 158 kW / 215 PS starken Motor. Das originale erste Scheckheft ist noch vorhanden.

Der Wagen war lange Zeit Teil eines Museums in Südeuropa bevor er im Jahr 2020 den Weg in die Fahrzeugsammlung des jetzigen Eigentümers fand. Das Fahrzeug befindet sich in einem sehr guten Pflegezustand und wartet auf seinen neuen Besitzer.

When the BMW M3 series was presented at the IAA in Frankfurt in 1985, nobody could have imagined the mega success that was to come.

The construction of this sporty series was primarily for homologation for the DTM. The first series M3 was built and delivered by M-GmbH in 1986.

This "M-Cabriolet" was completed at the Regensburg plant on April 17, 1990 and delivered to the then BMW agency "Automobils Pyrenees" in Sant Juliá de Loria on May 29, 1990.

This vehicle was ordered in the color "Brilliant Red" with the 158 kW / 215 hp engine. The original first checkbook is still available.

The car was part of a museum in southern Europe for a long time before it found its way into the current owner's vehicle collection in 2020. The vehicle is in very good condition and is waiting for its new owner.
