About this Collectable

As you all know, we never got to see a BMW M3 E91 Touring, but who needs an M3 Touring when you have an Alpina B3 S Touring? The B3 S is almost as fast as an M3 Sedan, but more stylish and exclusive. And all this with the practical advantages of a station wagon. What else can you wish for? This example is executed in a perfect color combination (Alpinablau II with a Sattelbraun interior), has covered only118,000 km and has had only two owners.

The Alpina B3 S was presented at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show as the superlative of the Alpina B3. While the B3 wasn't exactly underpowered with 360 hp, the B3 S produces up to 400 hp. That is pretty much in M3 territory. In terms of torque, the B3 S even surpasses the M3. The Alpina delivers 540 Nm of torque, 140 Nm more than the M3 of the same generation.

These figures enable this four-wheel drive B3 S to reach 100 km/h in just 5 seconds. The top speed isn't limited and is 291 km/h. This is a seriously fast car, but thanks to the four-wheel drive and the comfortable suspension, it is also an excellent all-rounder. And a (retractable) towbar is also available, if neccessary.

To achieve this impressive figure, Alpina has fitted BMW's standard N54 block with, among other things, a different ECU, a new oil cooler and Mahle pistons. In addition to the engine, the chassis and gearbox have also been optimized by Alpina. For example, the rear stabilizers have been modified and Alpina has improved the shift times.

Of course, the external modifications can't go unmentioned. Enthusiasts will recognize an Alpina at a glance, but everything is a bit more subdued and stylish compared to the M models from BMW. The B3 S can be recognized by the typical Alpina front spoiler, the Alpina letters on the front bumper, the quad exhausts and of course the wheels, in this case 19-inch Dynamica wheels. All this makes for a very appealing overall picture.

This example is even more appealing because this car is finished in the classic colour Alpinablau (II). In the interior a very tasteful colour can be found as well: Sattelbraun. Once you've taken a seat in the car you won't be short of anything, with heated seats, a parking heater and a Harman/Kardon Surround Sound system, to name just a few things.

This car is number 107 of the 151 units built in total. The car is originally from Germany and has had only two owners. These were both business owners, so the VAT is still refundable. This Alpina has been in the Netherlands since April and has only 118.500 km on the clock.

Remarks

The car is in a very nice condition. There are only some light signs of use that match the age and mileage of the car (see photos).

Scratch on the B-pillar left
The car hit a pole on the right side some time ago. This was neatly restored in April at Ferrari Bodyshop in Ankeveen and is no longer visible.

The car has always been serviced by a BMW and/or Alpina specialist and the full maintenance history with invoices is available. The most important points from the recent maintenance history are:
