The BMW 3 Series was born in 1975 and followed on from the BMW E10/E20 as the Munich manufacturer's small saloon. Available only as a coach, the E21 quickly became the benchmark for compact saloons, and above all offered a wide choice of 4- and 6-cylinder engines. In 1982, the E30 took over from it, quickly offering an extremely wide range of versions. Petrol or diesel, 4 or 6 cylinders, from 1.6L to 2.7L, as a 4-door saloon, coupé, cabriolet, estate or Motorsport version, the E30 was the first German carmaker to follow a recipe that is still used today.
The E30 we are offering for sale today is a 325i E30 delivered new to BMW France in 1988. The brand kept it until 1989, when it was acquired by our collector from the ZOLA dealership in Boulogne Billancourt. The list of options included a 3-spoke steering wheel and a sunroof.
Its owner had it serviced in the Zola dealership's workshops until 2001. That year, the engine was rebuilt, and the car followed its owner to Corsica, where it was regularly serviced.
Most recently, the clutch, alternator, rear shock absorbers, bearings and 4 tyres were replaced. With 212,000 km on the clock, this well-maintained BMW has a valid MOT less than 6 months old.
The only downside is that the odometer stopped working on the journey to Fontainebleau, so it will need to be serviced again.
