Alpina no. 2088 Extremely rare car expression of what would become one of the most exciting partnerships in automotive history, that between BMW and Alpina.
Purchased in 2017 by Tomaso Trussardi, first owner in Italy, as stated on the documents.
Its injection pump has just been overhauled and the invoices for this work (6,000 euros) are available. In addition, in the past year, a total of around 30,000 euros has been spent on work done on the bodywork and mechanics. 
The BMW 2002, produced from 1968 to 1975, is the model that defined BMW as we know it today, and allowed it, thanks to its great success in terms of sales, to invest heavily in the future, and also make the deliberate choice to build vehicles that are dynamic, exciting and enjoyable to drive, irrespective of their intended use. 
This one has covered just over 30,000 km since new. Mechanically, it is in perfect working order having recently been serviced.
Wearing its original color combination of metallic "Garnet Red" over black fabric interiors. It has just been repainted in Italy, to a very high standard.  
Fitted with Recaro sports seats and a period-correct Pioneer car radio. It is also equipped with headlamp wipers, a very rare feature.
The engine, which is the original one prepared by Alpina, is a 2-liter, 4-cylinder 195 HP unit with fuel injection. It has a manual (type G) 5-speed gearbox and  ventilated discs all round.
This car was already created as a 2002 Tii, the top of the “02” range, but was immediately modified by Alpina to meet its A4 specifications. The final cost was twice that of a “normal” 2002 Tii. It is certified by Alpina.
