The 3 Litre Bentley is a legendary car that brought Bentley Motors Limited its first Le Mans victory in 1924 and again in 1927. Bentley went on to win Le Mans an additional three times, giving a total of five victories over an eight year period.

You can see from the condition of the car that it has been handled carefully for a long time. According to the accompanying documents, both the chassis, which is originally a Rolls Royce chassis, and the engine have been in a Swedish museum for years. This way you can tell that the chassis and engine are in very good condition. In 2016, the previous owner bought the chassis and engine en took in to the Netherlands. The search of a fitting Bentley body had begun and was found sometime later in 2016. The body was shipped to the Netherlands and assembled with the engine and chassis.

In 2021, the decision was made to have the entire car restored. The body was taken apart from the chassis and received a full repaint. The body got a black paint and the large, multi spoke wheels were painted green to create a contrasting combination. Also the engine received a complete overhaul in 2021.

CONDITION EXTERIOR

As mentioned earlier, this Bentley has been completely revamped and undergone a full restoration in 2021. We can say with certainty that the entire exterior is in excellent condition. The car gives a great impression. The paintwork does not show any damage anywhere on the car, and the wheels and tyres are also undamaged.

The green wired wheels are in as new condition and don’t show any damages, signs of use or rust.

The windows and glasses are all nice even as the soft top which is in a very good / as new condition .

CONDITION INTERIOR

Like the exterior, the interior has also been updated. In 2021, the interior was also restored.

The interior is equally nice as the exterior. The leather on the seats is excellent and shows a little patina. The green leather seats fit the exterior color extremely well and match the also green colored wheels.

Inside the cabin everything is clean, neat and tidy. The interior is in excellent condition all round, as is the dash, steering wheel, instruments and controls.

All switches and instruments are in a perfect working condition and have been all checked on functionality.

DRIVING EXPERIENCE

This Bentley is probably definition of pre-war driving. It is always a special experience to drive a car like this. Thanks to the restoration of the engine in 2021, the engine runs very smoothly and starts immediately. The four-speed transmission shifts easily and driving this car is relatively simple. The long body gives an impressive feeling, yet the car is easy to drive.
