1964 Austin Mini Cooper S 1275, White with red & gold interior, black roof. Sold new to Marvin Frank of Chicago in September 1964, as per the Heritage Trust Certificate. Mr. Frank would own this car for the next 54 years. This 1275 S was one of the first 1275 S’s delivered to the USA and Mr. Frank replaced his 1071S with this car and enjoyed it a bunch in its early years. It is such an early 1275S, it has the “dry suspension”, not the hydro-elastic suspension that almost all others have. It is largely original save for Mr. Frank added second fuel tank when it was new and had it repainted in 1980. He stored it in 1991 and it sat in a warehouse until 2017…bought by a Chicago area dealer, prepared for use and sold to the current owner in 2020. This Mini is pure, unmolested and drives only like an unrestored car can…tight, dialed in and so fun! Recently service by marque experts, this original 1275 S is ready for the next 50+ years.
