The car was imported into the Netherlands in 1984 and was with 1 owner for 36 years who kept the auto in the garage for all these years and maintained it very good.

Recent technical maintenance was done, new break pads and new tires. A few years ago the back seat was restored and refurbished with genuine leather. The car was professionally sprayed/painted in it's original white colour. The rest of the car remains in the original state.

The Austin FX3 was introduced in 1948, built by Carbodies in Coventry and financed and owned jointly by Carbodies, Austin and Mann and Overton. The FX3 first appeared with a 2.2 litre petrol engine. There are 7267 examplaries of the FX3 were built from 1948 to 1958. The FX3 is also the first London cab to have been exported in numbers all over the world.

Over the years the car was participating in museum exhibition, showrooms and oldtimer classic clubs.
