Healey 3000’s hold a special place here at Car-iconics, as it was the first car that Daniel drove around his favourite race track, the awesome Nordschliefe.
Although this car is far from the specification of our race Healey, it carries the unmistakable DNA that makes a Healey so good to drive.
A sonorous straight six engine that provides effortless torque across the rev-range, a riffle bolt slick gear change with overdrive on 3rd and 4th, and pointy steering that with a weighty front end and light rear end encourages a spirited yet smooth driving style to get the most from the car.
This example exudes originality wherever you look, its paintwork is largely factory, the interior is reportedly all original, as is its hood, chrome and other trim items.
Supplied to its current owner via Rawles Healey specialists as the most original Healey 3000 they have had through their business. In 2020 they completed a comprehensive top-end engine rebuild alongside a complete overhaul of the braking system and other ancillary items (invoice present).
They also commented that the mileage of 47,000 (at the time of purchase) was genuine beyond reasonable doubt.
Having been cherished by its first owner from 1964 to 1985, its second one family owner from 1985 to 2023, and 2023 to present by it’s current owner.
