Aston Martin's 'Baby Vantage' set new standards of handling and performance, the engine was a return to a V8 and the body design, by Aston Martin's Design Director Henrik Fisker, again took Aston Martin back to the days of the DB2 and DB2/4 by restricting the car to a two seater, the luggage area could be maximised with access through an opening rear hatch.

The Limited Edition Vantage Nürburgring N400 featured here, is number 179 of 240 and has enhancements over the standard car, devised to celebrate two landmarks, the success of the Aston martin N24 in the ADAC Nürburgring 24 hour races. This N400 is further enhanced by the significant inclusion of cherished registration number N400 VAM. The enhancements included a useful power upgrade to the 4.3 litre V8 engine, lifting peak power to 400bhp and also came equipped with a new Sports Pack as standard which offered subtly different driving dynamics tailored to enthusiasts who were seeking even more responsive handling. The fully road going N400 was timed lapping 'the Ring' in just under eight minutes giving rise to the target production of just 480 cars, exactly how many seconds in those eight minutes!

Reflecting the classic 007 colours, this lovely example finished in Lightning Silver with black Obsidian leather with silver stitching, has had just three owners from new. The first two were assiduous in servicing at Aston Martin main agents with the current East Anglia-based owner, a marine business-owner and 'loves the car and the driving experience'. He has treated the car carefully whilst in his stewardship, as an engineer, undertaking maintenance himself and laying the car up every winter to avoid the worst of the weather, but he also states that he has never taken the car out in the rain. The car presents beautifully and offers some of the best handling to come out of the Gaydon factory, it benefits from a six-speed manual gearbox with new clutch fitted in June 2018 as well as, less than 4,000 miles ago, it is enhanced by four new Pirelli P-Zero tyres as well as a MoT test history that runs alongside the maintenance record serving to verify the current mileage proving this limited-edition Aston Martin to be one for any enthusiast or collector.
