As a replacement for the original Virage, the Aston Martin V8 Coupe adopted the styling cues and chassis improvements of the flagship V8 Vantage 550 model, in an elegant and more subtle body shape. The last of the coachbuilt cars, just 101 of the Coupe's rolled off the Newport Pagnell production line, over 3 years. Now highly sought after, the V8 Coupe is a Grand Tourer par excellence, with a beautifully appointed interior and balanced styling, displaying all of the marque’s traditional brand values whilst becoming, a firm classic.
Chassis number 79091 is one of the very last cars built, distinguished by the later style door mirrors and handles, as well as relocated powered seat switches. Finished in the elegant colour of Rolls Royce Midnight Blue and complemented perfectly by the Parchment and Pacific Blue interior. this excellent example has been cherished by all its owners from new and comes with a comprehensive Aston Martin service history from the original supplying dealer, Aston Martin Works and highly respected AM specialists.
Purchased by its last owner from ourselves in 2017, an enthusiast and collector of the marque, regular maintenance has been carried out between then and now by Aston Martin specialists in Surrey, with a new audio system and tyres fitted most recently. Interestingly, this particular car was photographed and used by Palawan Press as a reference example, published in their highly regarded 'Aston Martin V8’ definitive book.
More exclusive and refined, than both its Virage and V8 predecessors, these hand-built and low volume cars warrant attention. This late example being one of the finest we know and presenting in particularly excellent order, throughout.
