This beautiful Alfa Romeo (original 1969, 1300 GT Junior) is a nut and bolt restauration/improvement. Technically it has got the best parts from the well-known specialists, but with a personal touch (other dashboard, rear mirror, modified rear arches with original look ect.).
I started to media blast the car in 2018 and all chassis repairs were done by a professional Alfa Romeo specialist (Romeoracing).
All irregularities were tinned (the best but most expensive method) and the complete chassis were stiffened and fully seam welded. The doors, bonnet and boot are made of fibre composite.
The Twin Spark Engine is a 2l very reliable race engine on 45 mm Weber carbs (very nice sound) from Formula GT with great torque and 200 bhp.
Gearbox, Flywheel, Driveshaft, Halfshafts ect. are lightened and not to compare with any original shift feel of these old Alfas.
Since it was completed last year, I sometimes drive the car in sunny weather without any problem. This Alfa gives you the active driving pleasure of an old emotional car with modern sports car control and speed.
