Born in 1955 from a superb design by Pininfarina, the lines of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider were intended to be simple, elegant and racy, without distancing themselves from the saloons and coupes from which they were derived. Under the bonnet was the famous 1300 cm3 twin-cylinder engine so dear to the brand. In 1962, when the Giulietta saloon was replaced by the highly innovative Giulia, the new 95-horsepower 1600 cm3 was offered to the Spider which, without any major cosmetic changes, became the Giulia Spider. The Veloce model was equipped with a 112 bhp engine.
This Alfa Romeo Giullia Spider Veloce was delivered new in France. Before 1981, it was used in Paris and then bought by Mr Jérome Lavirotte in Cahors (46), who used it until 1983. It was then impounded and remained there until 1997, when it was bought by Mr Michel Fabre in Verrieres (91), who kept it in storage until 1999. That same year, it began its resurrection thanks to its new owner Mr Jean Pol Renaud in Saint Brieuc (22). The restoration work lasted several years. In 2006, it was bought by its current owner, who also carried out bodywork and mechanical work. The invoice file will be given to the buyer.
This rare ‘Veloce’, originally a French car with a hard top, will give you the thrill of a hair-raising ride in total elegance.
