Alfa Romeo 164 QV. A big, boxy car, but it gets more and more beautiful with its age. The 164 QV or Quadrifoglio Verde was available from 1990 to 1992 as the top of the range model. It was fitted with a bodykit that comprised an extended front spoiler, deeper side-skirts and a deeper rear apron. Inside, the QV featured sculpted sports seats whereas, mechanically, it was fitted with an up-rated version of the 3.0-litre V6 12-valve engine and adjustable damper settings.

Pininfarina was responsible for the 164 design, with the first 1:1 scale model produced in 1982. Design cues were publicly revealed on the concept car, which was exhibited at the 1986 Turin Motorshow. The model 164 was also the last model developed by Alfa Romeo before the company was overtaken by Fiat.

This Alfa 164 QV is from the first year of production of this model: 1990 and is a desirable Quadrofoglio powered by a 12 valve V6 paired to a 5-speed manual. It is said to run well and shift smoothly. The car has 230.000 kilometers on the clock and is located in Prague, Czech Rep. It has a current Czech registration and MOT until 05/22.

The car comes in the classic two-tone Rosso Alfa and Grigio Scuro paint. The engine bay benefits from an extensive service and detailing. The transverse-mounted 12V 3.0L V6 sends power to the front wheels via a 5-speed manual transmission. All fluids were drained and replaced. The underside of the chassis shows that the 164s were the first Alfas to receive galvanized bodies, and this treatment has protected the car from suffering any corrosion. Quadrofoglio cars featured electronically controlled suspension damping. This example features the desirable 3.0L V6 Busso engine and a manual transmission, and is a rare model that has been cared for, sorted, and driven. This polished, red/black limousine sits on beautiful Zender Milano rims.

This QV specification Alfa Romeo with 200 horsepower Busso V6 engine was a showroom queen for the first two years of her life. In 1992 the car was bought in Austria and driven there until 2007.

The service book shows every regular Alfa Romeo service and the condition of the body shows the car was very well cared for. The car was then brought to the Czech Republic by an enthusiast into Italian cars, who performed a complete renovation of the engine and chassis.

The Alfa remains in original condition, complete, without accidents. The QV version with the bodykit, leather interior, everything electronically controlled, adjustable suspension and the Busso V6 3 liter engine is the best possible combination.
