After the war, many returning GIs converted the military versions into ‘street’ motorcycles, and with their limited resources started the trends of the chopper and customised Harley-Davidsons.
This fine example comes from a private Italian collection and has been expertly converted to a street version, featuring shiny red paint and superb chromed detailing throughout. Having been subject to a comprehensive restoration a few years ago, it is described by the vendor as being in excellent condition throughout and comes complete with Italian registration documents.
La motocicletta fu studiata e sperimentata per l’impiego sul campo di battaglia dell’esercito americano prima e quello canadese poi, venne infine costruito il modello sidecar per l’esercito russo nel ’43 – ’45.
