Beschreibung

Encouraged by the racing success of its 750 S and 750 SF during 1969 and 1970, Laverda created the 750 SFC (C for Competizione) for 1971. This model has since become one of the most coveted motorcycles of all time and the success of the SFC in endurance racing cemented Laverda’s reputation as one of the world’s great manufacturers.

This extraordinary machine was the first 1974 SFC sold in England, and as such was comprehensively road tested in the December 1974 edition of Motor Cycle magazine. The bike was then purchased by Italian Laverda aficionado Radmilo Mojic, joining his collection of six other SFCs. In 2005, the motorcycle was acquired by renowned Laverda expert and author Ian Falloon. It was featured on the cover and in detail in his book The Laverda Twins and Triples Bible, as well as in multiple other publications. In his accompanying 30-page 2022 report, Falloon describes the bike’s impressively correct and original condition, noting that the engine and frame number stamps are genuine and correct, and that the bike even retains its original zinc frame plating, flared Borrani rims, P08 Brembo calipers, Carello headlight, Magura throttle, and Ceriani shock absorbers. Falloon believes the SFC was repainted during the 1980s but that it othwerwise remains in remarkably original condition. In his report he further stated his opinion that of the more than 50 examples he has inspected, this is undoubtedly the most original. As such, this 750 SFC is one of the worlds finest, most significant examples and could be the centerpiece of even the most distinguished collections.
