In the early 2000s, starting with the six-cylinder GL 1500 Goldwing, Honda developed the 118 hp Valkyre 1800. Ray Blank, vice-president of Honda America Motorcycles, considering the great success of the Valkyrie prompted the development of a new model and thus the GL 1800 Six was born.

Seeking to create a truly special custom, engineer Masanori Aoki, designer of the GL1800 Gold Wing developed a prototype then called the T2, which later became the long-awaited Honda Rune. A little over two years later, the Rune is in production in the United States at a cost of $25,499, an additional $1,500 to have it with chrome wheels, and will be produced in no more than 1,200 examples, ending production with a very exclusive limited number of models. European collectors will then have to commit to importing the already few examples from overseas.

The stunning car we offer here, as beautiful as it is rare, was bought practically new and used sporadically, covering just 5600 km in its 15 years of life.
