The Honda MVX 250 F was unveiled in 1983, and in the same year participated in the World Championship in its category for the first time. It featured a water-cooled two-stroke V-3 engine, mounted on the frame. The outer cylinders were arranged horizontally, with the rear one vertical. The lines were very modern for the time, with a cowling covering the headlamp, square mirrors and tank. It was available in two colour schemes: red, white and blue, and black and white.
